FAQ
Are YAML and JSON losslessly convertible?
Mostly. YAML is a superset of JSON, so anything JSON expresses is valid YAML. But YAML anchors, multi-document streams and complex type tags have no JSON equivalent and may be lost when converted.
Does conversion need a network?
No. The js-yaml parser is served from this site’s own domain alongside the page, with no third-party CDN involved; the whole conversion runs locally in your browser.
