FAQ
What is the difference between Hex and RGB?
They are two notations for the same color: Hex is base-16, RGB is base-10. #ff0000 and rgb(255,0,0) are the identical red, just written differently.
What is the last pair in 8-digit Hex?
It is the alpha (transparency) channel — two Hex digits for 0..255, matching the fourth argument of rgba(): 00 is fully transparent and ff is fully opaque.
Why do some colors show no name?
CSS only defines 148 named colors such as red, blue and rebeccapurple. Most colors have no English name, so this field shows "-" — use Hex/RGB/HSL instead.
