Firebase Push ID Parser and Generator
A Firebase Realtime Database Push ID is 20 chars: the first 8 encode the creation millisecond timestamp in base-64, the last 12 are random. Paste one to recover its creation time.
Click "Generate (now)" or generate from a chosen time to get a valid Push ID for test data.
Features
- Timestamp recovery — From the first 8 chars recover the millisecond creation timestamp and show UTC and local time.
- Time-based generation — Generate valid Push IDs from the current time or any chosen time for range comparison.
- Local compute — No Firebase API is called; parsing and generation are fully local.
How to use
- Paste a 20-char Firebase Push ID on the left.
- The right side instantly shows the creation time and random suffix; a format error is flagged.
- Click "Generate (now)" or enter a time and "Generate at time" to get a new ID.
FAQ
Why are the first 8 chars the time?
Firebase encodes the timestamp in base-64 with the most significant digit first, so the IDs also sort chronologically by dictionary order.
Can the generated ID be written to the database?
The structure is valid, but the suffix is random and meant for local testing, not a real write order.
